Acupuncture and anxiety

Anxiety is a common phenomenon, and unfortunately it can become almost normal;if it lasts days, months, years, anxiety can create a sense of constant anguish, hindering the normal course of daily life, and indicating that an anxiety disorder may be developing.

This is the key moment to seek help.

It is a good thing that acupuncture exists; it is a great ally of people who suffer from this excess of anxiety.

Statistics indicate that at least 1 out of 5 individuals have some type of anxiety disorder. Common phobias affect a large proportion of the world’s population.

In order to be able to tell you where acupuncture can help, I need you to understand how phobias are caused.

Usually these phobias relate to an irrational fear of something.

For example:

A person experiences a robbery which has an emotional impact that creates anxiety and phobias.

A fear of being robbed again may prevent the person from leaving the house, but despite the slim chance of the event recurring, the emotional system responds

As with the primitives, when they went through some panic in the forest, the idea was to fight or escape.

Nowadays we rarely literally  run like animals, but we have this system that paralyses us and makes us react in this way.

And how can Acupuncture help?

Acupuncture is an ancient technique that integrates traditional Chinese medicine, and the benefits of this treatment have been increasingly recognised around the world.

Our body has a vital energy called Qi, and Acupuncture is based on the idea that our greatest physical and mental problems are caused by the imbalance of that energy.

When body and mind are in perfect balance, qi flows through the meridian channels, which are located at different points of the body.

Acupuncture is essential to treat the impacts caused by fears and phobias, as it contributes greatly to the process of balancing anxiety, bringing significant improvements.

Needles act as stimuli to the nervous system, which reacts by producing chemicals, which can be analgesic, stimulant, or related to emotions such as happiness and well-being.

All that a person who is going through this problem needs is to feel good, and with this procedure it becomes evident that the stimuli can have a fantastic result.

The use of Acupuncture is efficient and does not cause side effects to the patient, so if you are having any of these symptoms, seek help from a professional. Take care of your well-being!
